Commuter's Pledge

Driving back and forth to where I work
Is a hassle for me and those who co-work.
I pledge I would not drive in such a busy freeway
Probably, I'll quit driving, by the way.
From Santa Maria to LA 101 is such a dangerous freeway.
Lucky for me, if I ride with someone else or carpool my way,
I'll be free and more happy and enjoy the ride everyday.
I'll just chip in for gas or some money.
And I will be on my way
To the busy freeway in LA.

Coco Palm Tree

Coco Palm Tree

I planted a coco palm tree
Under our porch near our alley.
The sunlight peers through the lattice screen
My coco palm tree still gets its vitamins
I nurtured it with so much love.
Like a mother caring for her child.
When it's about five feet tall and slim
I replanted it in a special place in our garden
Lilies and daisies I planted on the perimeter
It's beautiful to look at the colorful flowers
Now the palm tree is about seven feet tall
How I wish I could be that tall
So I could reach the fruits without climbing the fence
My coco palm trees start bearing fruits for nourishments
The young coco so sweet and refreshing
Like the nectar of the gods in spring.

In loving memory of my Aunt
Old friends and acquaintances from far away places;
Intermingling and seeing for the first time.
It's been two decades long, she surmise.
Hugging, exchanging how are yous, and ahhhs and ohhhs!
Dancing in the midst of waltz;
Converting it into rhumba and samba is the option.
Fats and slims are doing hulabalu.
Grabbing a partner was not in the atmosphere,
But exchanging partners made it lively and jolly
Everyone struts their stuffs till they crack
The night was so full of fun and excitements
Like youngsters enjoying luau beach parties.
It will be their greatest fun memories ever.

Beautiful wild flowers & poppies grow
in the vast fields and valleys
So captivating so alluring
One must see the beauty of autumn in Northern California

It's breathtaking to see the birch and maple trees
Lined in main thoroughfare and everywhere
Leaves turning red, gold and yellow
Falling from trees.
One breezey morning
I witness Mother nature's beauty
I run around the trees and street
And let the colorful leaves fall on my hair
I was jubilant and thanking the Lord Almighty
Grass carpeted with colorful leaves
It makes me think of Vermont
What lovely scenes to feast your eyes on.

The burden of responsibility

The birds are calling me

And I call them back.

I know why they're calling me,

They're hungry, I can see.

Food are scarce and hard to find.

In this kind of weather and year's time.

I scatter the seeds on the ground

And pour some in the feeder hanging on a tree branch.

I call them by mimicking whistling bird sound.

They come down and fly abound.

They come in flocks and flock around

Like their mother, I feed their empty tiny pouches.

Oh, how wonderful to be with God's creatures.

They call me by chirping from trees.

They land over my opened palms with seeds I lured .

And away they flew, and up the sky they soared.

Hope they'll come back soon and make my days

I know they'll call me one of these days.

The mayas singing joyously

Chirping from tree to tree

Oh, what a lovely day they bring

While dipping their tiny heads in water

They flutter their wings

Tiny feathers blown by the wind like smithereens

They're one of most precious creatures on earth to watch.

I never took my eyes away from them

Till they soar way way up high.

I was wondering, will they ever come back?

Next morning... alas and behold,

Like cherubs from heaven

I hear their tiny chirps

I look out the window, and there they are

Dipping their heads in birdbath

Flapping their wings, talking and singing

Happy to be back again.

With so much jubilation and excitement,

I sing and whistle with them.

As I run my fingers through the keyboards

Just come to mind to play "Memory"

from the musical play, "Cats" with my cat beside me.

Just as I started to play the melody

My cat climb on the keyboards,

and started to meow, good lord!

To the beat of the music, he was singing.

I could not believe what I'm hearing.

My cat is having good time with its master

I had a good laugh and felt better.

Earlier I was upset because he scratched my carpet.

It really made me so upset

To see the loose fibers

that look like a shaggy dog's hair.

But I loved cat my beloved pet.

It's Monday morning

The phone is ringing

The baby is crying

The dog is barking

The stove is on

The boiling water overflowing

The buzzing signal in laundry room is on

While trying to calm down her baby son,

she runs into the other room to get the phone.

Then came the two kids ready for school

asking their mom for their provisions.

She hangs up the phone

She's getting her sons ready for school soon.

Then she feeds her baby

Then she feeds the dogie

And she let go a big sigh.

While looking up in the sky,

She utters the words of thanks,

Lord, thank you for making my day.

in a sense that we all be subjected.

It seemed that our relationship won't survive.

I tried to patch up things for both our sake

To mend our relationship back in good shape.

I find you as the culprit of our ongoing situation.

Despite of all, our relationship still high priority

My favorite is in front seat

Kudos to my Father

My Father, for me, he's everything.

He was the greatest of all human being.

When we were little, he taught us to read and write

He even taught us how to fly a kite.

Mind you my father had a very good sense of humor

In which, everyone is in favor.

He was such a warmhearted person

A successful plumber by profession.

I was really proud of his endeavour

As a father and great provider.

Above all, a great husband to our beloved Mother.
